With the help of our lawyers and client service officers we provide culturally appropriate legal and support services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who are experiencing or have experienced domestic and family violence or sexual assault.

CAAFLU MISSION:
To provide cultural appropriate legal and support services to
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who have experienced or are experiencing family violence or sexual assault in Central Australia and the Barkly Region.
GOVERNANCE
CAAFLU was established in 2000 and incorporated in 2007 under the Corporations (Aboriginal & Torres Strait islander) Act 2006 and is registered with the Office of the Registrar of Aboriginal Corporations.
CAAFLU is one of 14 Family Violence Prevention Legal Services across Australia and is funded by the Commonwealth Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet.
CAAFLU ensures independence as well as community representation and consultation through an elected Board of Directors.
